Tattoo Age : Dan Santoro

Dan Santoro is true inspiration. He may not be a household name in the industry, but his work …his art clearly makes him a free-wheeling jack-of-all-trades with a shit loads of talent. His peaces are as simple as they are great. Bringing the imagery back to cliché days, an hommage to our youtful imagination. I can’t say I’m a big fan of G-stars, yet I got to admit they have so many capsule collections I was bound to find something I’d wear. The upcoming Sping/Summer line a couple of pieces that cought my eye. The rough cuts and the mustard yellow give it a Paul Smith // Comme des Garçons flavor, in so many words : nothing i’d pass on. Kia…when small meets style

Last Sunday I was kindly invited to discover and test the new Kia Picanto. First question : Why am I talking about a low cost car ? Well this blog is called good taste factory. Not rich taste factory. Second question : Do you I have my license ?  No. So what ? I did’nt drive but still felt the roar that came out of the engine. I admit I focused more on the aesthetics of the little beast rather that the driving.

It’s the first time I ever lay my eyes on this brands and I am trully blown away. The lines are precise and simple. Trully a something I could wear and would clearly buy. Holiday season is at the corner, it’s time for me to give my shopping tips. The important aspect to bear in mind is that Christmas does not have to rhyme with winter. Maison Martin Margiela high-top sneakers pre-collections includes these Nubuck Leather High-top Sneakers ($597), which foreshadow the upcoming line-up for the new year. They feature a large velcro ankle strap with front panels that cover the laces, a cream leather lining, and vulcanized soles. Three colors, the usual. I cant say I’m a big fan of high-top sneakers anymore, however since all the high-end brands started rocking them. I got to ask myself what are they are bringing to the game that labels like Supra did’nt?

Un-identified Poetic Objects that’s the idea behind the last concept of the french House Hermès : “le cabinet de curiosité” literaly “chambre of curiosity” . It’s eco-luxury with a twist. Hermès is introducing us to something different, they’ve gathered talents from different horizons to re-think the purpose of waisted materials. The Camel is a perfect example. Chi town artist Lupe Fiasco is getting ready to launch a high end collection for his “Trilly & truly” clothing line named “Overthrown Junta”. An exclusive preview recently unveiled two biker’s perfecto jacket, expected to hit the shelves in a little less than a month. Cardigan review

Hello winter for the last couple of weeks I have been pretty much freezing on the scooter. I’m a shirt type of guy. And this weather is nore friendly or anticipated by my closet. If you want to stay warm, you need layers, and by that I mean plenty of them. Cardigan can make you look bad, and a lot of them dont even serve their initial purpose : KEEP YOU WARM ! Fail : Eat Dust Denim

A clean fail. The jackets are made of “13.25 oz double ring Japanese indigo blue selvage denim.” The jacket has “two reinforced hip pockets with signature Z-bar stitch.”. The cuts are rubish, the quality is amazing. The brand also offers two styles of jeans from the same denim I could not get a pic. A great collection for true motorcycle enthusiasts. A Stupid look for anyone else.

CDXIII by 413

Who said the summer’s gone. The good thing about fashion is bein able to be a season ahead of the game. the Factory 413 comes out with a Chad Muska inspired line. Nothing fancy. Less is more. And the price is cheap. More pics after the jump.

Gourmet S/S 11

Upcoming spring will be filled with color. My closet always is but i cant make that a general fact. Navy blue, yellow, red and grey, all very nautica-esque. My choice is ready made for the leopard and dark blue. It’s more exuberant and closer to my personality but those cuts are so clean anybody would find a color to compliment their mood. Union, chukka boot

Union presents its second installment of footwear alongside design guru Mark McNairy and Sanders and Sanders shoes out of the UK. The result is a set of three different designs, including a black pebbled leather derby, saddle chukka boot, and cap toe derby boot. Very classy and would totaly match any pair of pants or socks I have.

L’Officiel Homme – lookbook

It’s safe to say that this fall will be colored in “camel”. Men out there will have to be rocking that color. It’s elegant and has a very dandy rock twist to it. The much anticipated Lanvin for H&M Menswear Collection is set to be in stores by the end of November, and I like what I see. The collaborative line features every fashionable necessity that a man with style might need. I’m especially keen on the shawl collared blazers and the colorful bow-ties.

Patrick Johnson: suits I could wear

Who said only Italians and Brits could make nice suits. Patrick Johnson (I admit it’s the first time i hear about him) came up with a pretty convincing line.The cuts are exactly what I look for. Half way between RL’s Purple Label and Italian tailoring i find the assembly of colors remarquable and although i would never buy any major peace on line i could give it a second thought.
