Suits are a classic no matter what style we choose to rock. You can wear a suit with sneakers, a denim shirt, a colored tie or no tie. Go for a preppy look, or decide to be a dandy. No matter who you are and how you choose to suit up, a clean cut will always prevail on any manly silhouette. How many brands actualy focus (almost) exclusively on such essential pieces ? Too few to my liking. De Fursac started a revolution a couple of years ago and this is what it looks like today. Hit the switch and feel the taste.
Sneakers, shirts, polos, cardigans and varsitys are all on board for the capsule collection between two of the most iconic french brands. Lacoste L!ve the youthfull line teams up with Cool Cats, the gang formed by SO-ME, Busy P and La MJC. Music and sartorial fantasies don’t alway make sens, but here they do. Hit the switch and check out the very solid outcome.
Two of my favorite brands come together and give us this highly anticipated line: End Clothing. Not a capsule collection, but rather a full collection, halfway between both Houses, from trousers, to shoes passing by a tasteful varsity jacket, both houses came up with a very solid lookbook. Hit the flip and dress up.
This year, Iconic fall issue will be featuring Princess Charlotte Casiraghi shot by Mario Testino. It’s easy to be disappointed by such and odd choice never the less we’ll all be buying the 12,90€ magazine. If not for the pictures at least for the T-Shirt (This is a joke). Hit the switch and enjoy the preview of all different scenes shot in this number.
For Spring 2012, Publish offers bright floral prints, tailored jogger pants, and wool/cotton shorts. All garments are indicative of a refinement of brand aesthetic, with Publish continuing to build on a desire to re-invent military pieces with a jazz influence. Expansion of materials used also lends to the growth of the line – aside from oxfords and wools, they are also employing some Cordura in rugged pants.
There is nothing I can really say about the NYC based label that has nt been said. The blueprint to most premium street and high end brands. Anything you do, SUPREME does it with way more swag. Period. Hit the switch.
Their back with a new anti-fatigue comfort technology and flexible footbed. Wiliam Yan (the guys that blogs here.) just released the fruits of his collaboration with iconic boot manufacturer Timberland. Sent out on the streets of NYC and SF to capture people in Timberland for their “Man on the Street”page on Facebook. Authentic work thats spot on the essence of the brand. Whether you were listenning to the Wu or N-Sync you rocked those boots. Just admit it. Hit the switch and reminisce of these pics.
Patterns ? Yes sir. I’ve showcased a couple of collection from different inspirational horizon in the past couple of weeks, and they all rock them. Pink being the new black, we can presume patterns are the new pink. The collection does not narrow down to this single detail though. En vogue shoes, and some real sweet chinos. This collection is somewhere in between Kenzo and Tommy Hilfiger. I’m a fan. Hit the flip and enjoy more looks.
Dunhill gives a quick preview to their Autumn/Winter 11 collection. First looks to make it out since Kim Jones left the House, the looks are still very much elegant and refined. We wouldnt expect anything less from the british brand. More looks after the jump.
It probably wont make a lick of sens to some of you, but Hussar style embroidery pieces are going to be the next big thing. Dries Van Noten follows Riccardo Tisci’s lead and offer 19th century military inspired jacket. That russian blue is probably one of the hottest colors for the up-coming season. Could rock of these sometime in the fall. Hit the flip and kick back.
The Fred Perry Laurel Wreath Collection recently featured some Ralph Lauren look a like polos. More looks were recently uploaded to the online store. Choosen from a variety of prints including polka dots, the capsule items take us to the roots of the brand. Classic, fresh and edgy. More looks after the jump. Hit the flip and kick back.
Original Fake, presents their new Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. No doubt about it, I’ve rarely seen an artist brand look so fresh, the label continues to diddy bop their way in the fashion industry with a large range of quality product. Tommy Hilfiger fresh with that Supreme swag.
The new collection sports some great outerwear pieces, including peacoats, duffle coats and fur hooded down jackets. As usual it is all about the details, the graphic elements by artist Kaws are flawless. Special mention for the chinos.
Check out an in-depth preview of the Original Fake Fall/Winter 2011 Collection after the jump.
The L.A based, Beautiful Ful looks to bring classic looks of menswear in line with the Californian spirtit. Not quite american not quite european. While some pieces, specialy, the suits and the accessories seem pretty rad, the hoody/coat featuring are a fail. No one over the age of 5 should attempt a hoody/coat one piece combo.
Although the collection has some interesting pieces, I don’t think a motorcycle ridding Pete Doherty is an appealing image. Never the less, the collection is yours to enjoy. Hit the flip.
Ellesse Heritage introduces their new A/W 11 collection. With fresh cuts, and bright colors they are seriously stepping their game up. Details are sophisticated but not over doing it. The collection features sporting influenced garments that are effortlessly applied and incorporated into the modern man’s wardrobe in this season’s lookbook. Hit the switch and see for yourself.
I can’t say I’m a big fan of G-stars, yet I got to admit they have so many capsule collections I was bound to find something I’d wear. The upcoming Sping/Summer line a couple of pieces that cought my eye. The rough cuts and the mustard yellow give it a Paul Smith // Comme des Garçons flavor, in so many words : nothing i’d pass on. Hit the jump and check out for yourself.

Established in 2007, Uniforms for the Dedicated is powered by the inspiration of musicians, illustrators, designers, and concept makers, who together form a continuously growing playground of clothing design, music, film, and various forms of art. They represent a new tendancy in Fashion, one where groups take the lead on individual creativity. They have a story to tell. Crossing elements, patterns and styles hit the flip and enjoy this week’s hotest elements of style.
Designed by Daria Dazzan, an Italian-born student at the brilliant Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts and her BF Matteo Cibic recently unveiled 10A a line that reacquaints us with an often overlooked detail, braces. It’s the first time I ever lay my eyes on this brands and I am trully blown away. The lines are precise and simple. Trully a something I could wear and would clearly buy. Next week, will present their AW 2011 menswear collection and introduces new styles and several other items in order to complete any classic wardrobe. With this collection, the design duo have continued to build on the strengths of previous seasons …
Who’s Next 2011 is back in P town in a couple of weeks. You can win 5 badges for two by just liking this post and leaving a comment with you name. As usual most major brands will be around for 3 days (22/01-25/01) of sartorial trade, let you preview what your racks will be featuring in the coming months. Nothing like the capsule show but much more relevant for the French Fashion Industry. It’s always a great way to discover up & coming stylist and perhaps re-discover some brands you’ve walked away from.
After a decade of flaming services, Carinne Roitfeld left Vogues Flagship last month. The Tom Ford cover and editorial made a lick of sens and was a suttle message sent out to the privy fashion crowd. After a few weeks of awaiting, Condé Nast can finally announce as new chief editor for Vogue Paris : Emmanuelle Alt . LOL more of the same but not as sexy…Lame. Who is she where does she come from ? Everything you need to know about the most powerful voice in Fashion is here.
Tom Ford again. Anyone who’s at least as privy as me me is going to have so much fun wearing this collection. Let’s not bring this to an issue of money, and try to just see where this brand is going. Pastel colors, new cuts for suits, giving it a 1950′s vibe. Something different in other words. Not your average dandy look but always very elegant and in some ways easier to wear without making it look like you are dressing up for the Donatella Versace’s birthday. More of this after the jump. Enjoy.
The long awaited Tom Ford Women Spring/Summer collection is starting to leak or so it seems. The video featured after the jump gives you a glimpse of what is yet to come. A couple of months back when I wrote about “bringing luxury back into fashion” I had my doubts on the outcome. Never the less from what is available for you after the Jump it seems the Texan is doing exactly that. Exquisite, sublime and terribly picture perfect.
Chi town artist Lupe Fiasco is getting ready to launch a high end collection for his “Trilly & truly” clothing line named “Overthrown Junta”. An exclusive preview recently unveiled two biker’s perfecto jacket, expected to hit the shelves in a little less than a month. Im not sure about the name of the collection, nor if the price is right but the jacket is straight hotness. Hit the jump and check out more pics.
Hello winter for the last couple of weeks I have been pretty much freezing on the scooter. I’m a shirt type of guy. And this weather is nore friendly or anticipated by my closet. If you want to stay warm, you need layers, and by that I mean plenty of them. Cardigan can make you look bad, and a lot of them dont even serve their initial purpose : KEEP YOU WARM ! From Ralph Lauren to Surface 2 Air. Hit the switch and enjoy my selection.
A clean fail. The jackets are made of “13.25 oz double ring Japanese indigo blue selvage denim.” The jacket has “two reinforced hip pockets with signature Z-bar stitch.”. The cuts are rubish, the quality is amazing. The brand also offers two styles of jeans from the same denim I could not get a pic. A great collection for true motorcycle enthusiasts. A Stupid look for anyone else.
Union presents its second installment of footwear alongside design guru Mark McNairy and Sanders and Sanders shoes out of the UK. The result is a set of three different designs, including a black pebbled leather derby, saddle chukka boot, and cap toe derby boot. Very classy and would totaly match any pair of pants or socks I have.
It’s safe to say that this fall will be colored in “camel”. Men out there will have to be rocking that color. It’s elegant and has a very dandy rock twist to it. I got myself a piece at the Kooples, but any of them following after the jump would do the trick. L’Officiel Homme Italie gives a quite inspiring lookbook. Hit the switch to see the pics.
This month Hapers Bazar UK comes out with an amazing set of photo shoot. Some of my favorite are right after the jump. The Art of Seduction with Marike Le Roux …she’s quite stunning.
The much anticipated Lanvin for H&M Menswear Collection is set to be in stores by the end of November, and I like what I see. The collaborative line features every fashionable necessity that a man with style might need. I’m especially keen on the shawl collared blazers and the colorful bow-ties.
Cassius Eyewear comes back with a strong collection for eyewear connoisseurs who want individuality, classic styling, and quality. Their Autumn/Winter collection pays homage to designer and architects like George Washington Maher and Alvar Aalto with indigenous materials and incomparable craftsmanship. Cassius Eyewear uses the most advanced production techniques, in addition to traditional methods.
Here’s one for the all black everything gang. Passarella recently made their first ready-to-wear collection and here’s our pick of the bunch. Sleek, dark and minimal are all adjectives that we feel we should be using when describing this piece.
Who said only Italians and Brits could make nice suits. Patrick Johnson (I admit it’s the first time i hear about him) came up with a pretty convincing line. The cuts are exactly what I look for. Half way between RL’s Purple Label and Italian tailoring i find the assembly of colors remarquable and although i would never buy any major peace on line i could give it a second thought. Hit the switch for more pics.
Kinfolk‘s collection for Zozotown is mostly hand-made racing bike, a handful of fitteds and a few t-shirts. Exclusive to Japan’s Zozotown, the collection is out now online in limited numbers. I’m probably going to rock the blue cap….More pics after the jump.

Put your headphones on and enjoy the NYC Fashion Week Playlist …Marc Jacobs, The beatles, The Doors, Alexander Wang… Music and Fashion can do good things to you.
If I’d had to wear only one brand it would be SUPREME. Clean cuts, suttle details and very very very hot materials. Supreme and popular skater Jason Dill align for a much aticipated 2010 Fall/Winter collection lookbook. The various looks represent some trademark Supreme with themes ranging from traditional workwear aesthetics to some more refined outfits. As always, a good understanding of Supreme’s intended styling also gives us a good idea of the direction set forth for this season. The collection has released Saturday, September 4th in Japan and the US online sells will begin September 9th. As usual I’ll have to go to london in order to get some of the coolness. Sophia should i put that on the list ?
Following some uncertain times, Parisian fashion and music label April 77 is back with a preview from their Fall/Winter 2010 collection. The focus within this collection is denim, featuring the Joey and Dictator, two signature pieces from April77, and featuring a more taught and tapered iteration dubbed Ride. Catch the entire collection on the newly re-fashioned April77 website. Its always nice to see French brands that can work denim…

Dior Homme have offered a sneak peek at their forthcoming fragrance campaign with three films directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jude Law. Incredibly stylish Dior suits aand classic cars seems to be a good combo. Ritchie’s dark, mysterious, and ominous visual styling gives the film the look of a classic murder mystery. Look for the full length film slated for release on September 8th.
That one pic is just mad cool. Kaws or SoMe inspired Stella McCartney has got it right. Can’t wait to the F/W 10.11 lookbook.
Alessandra Ambrosio is Moschino’s new face for this coming Fall. More pics after the jump.
