Kia…when small meets style

Last Sunday I was kindly invited to discover and test the new Kia Picanto. First question : Why am I talking about a low cost car ? Well this blog is called good taste factory. Not rich taste factory. Second question : Do you I have my license ?  No. So what ? I did’nt drive but still felt the roar that came out of the engine. I admit I focused more on the aesthetics of the little beast rather that the driving.

I spent the whole day of Sunday discovering the product. I even got to play a football game during the Kia Cup. I’ll never say no to that. What’s not to like. Bordeaux, probably one of the coolest french cities, a cute looking car, a ball and wine.  Do check out more them pics over here :

I know I look really fresh with them shades on.

But for now let’s focus on the car. Two things that caught my ear. The SILENCE. Once the windows are closed you can’t hear the engine. Not a thing. It’s cool when you only have a Carla Bruni playlist to chill on the french country side. But don’t get me wrong, once those same windows are down, the toy can make itself heard ! I’m not sayin’ it’s a german sports car, but it’s tiny size ( 5 doors) it’s really impressive.

Options ?  YES The list goes on and on for ever … more details here. It’s cheap, it’s small, it’s got the looks, the colors are great  and it’s pretty much the most afoardable car in the category.

Do I want one ? Yes.

Honnestly I never thought an asian car would win me over, but I got to admit this one has. Hands down, when I get a car I might just call my Kia dealer.
