Lookbook: WorkBoots
It’s not too late to start rockin’ them, you’ve seen them on loads of lookbooks, Work Boots are everywhere. From Sebago to Timberland there’s plenty for you to choose from. Hit the switch and go find your perfect fit. I’ve mentionned a couple of parisian venues for you to go pick a pair.
NEXUS x SEBAGO
Probably the most inspiring pair of them all, Ronnie Fieg undertook a pretty risky endeavor in recruiting a team of five bloggers to serve as inspiration and designers for a line of collaboration shoes. Fieg got together with Marcus Troy, Jake Davis, and the teams behind Street Etiquette (such a sick blog) and Culture Shoq, producing a limited release Sebago shoe with each of them. Now the last shoe in the series, inspired by William Yan, was released last week. I’m not sure we’ll find any in europe never the less check out Davidz.com and Ronnie Fieg to get one of the 48 pairs produced.
By an inch my favorite pair of the digest im laying out for you.
POINTER CALUM WORKBOOT
Pointer presents the Calum workboot as a new entry into their collection for Autumn/Winter 2010. Utility and style in two attractive colorways makes this Pointer offering a strong contender in the business for those in the market for a new pair of autumn stompers. My personnal choice would be directed towards the classy combo of navy blue and brown. Available in quite a few stores in Paris. My second (safer) choice.
LOWERIGHT Co. X ETHNIES
You can make up your own mind about whether Lovewright Co. and etnies Plus got the workboot/lifestyle balance right; Half way in between the sneaker (check out the featured supra below) and the traditionnal boot. I myself would not be rocking them however the burgundy red is very sweet.
ROBERU “PLAIN TOE”
This Roberu “plain toe” workboot is an example. The rich deep pigment in the tanning makes these standouts. Hand-made from start to finish. The red pigment make them standout in the crowd. Hand up for the hand made products. Too close to a pair of Dr. Marteens ? I think not.
Y-3 HAYWORTH
Yohji Yamamoto’s Hayworth sneaker from the adidas Y-3 line comes in a workboot-styled make up for Spring 2011. The look has been done countless times before, but still looks pretty good. Now available through Revolve.
