Tom Ford : Bringing Luxury back in to Fashion
A decade after re-inventing Gucci and 6 years after leaving YSL, Tom Ford is back and ready to change the whole industry. With a critically acclaimed Film and a flourishing Eyewear label, the Texan returns to his first love, Woman’s couture.
Hardly any journalist and no cameras were allowed in. Tom Ford just brought back “time” into desire. For all of us who were highly anticipating the Madison Avenue show, we will just have to wait for another couple months…Terry Richardson will make sure we see all of the pictures by December on the TF website.
A Hollywood worthy casting. Julian Moore who also co –stars in his “A single man” movie opened the show, followed by Daphne Guinness and Emmanuelle Seigner… Those are the only ladies that will wear the new line for a long time. Just like the pictures no one will have access to them before December, and the Press will only be allowed to publish pictures by January.
Time wise the collection has already anchored itself as a luxurious line. Money wise ? It’s probably going to be the same, we should not expect anything to be cheap. Tom Ford is bring luxury back into Fashion.
